About Me
I started hand embroidering gifts for friends and family.
Honestly, they were pretty bad, but they help me practice and practice and eventually get better with the craft.
Throughout this exploration process, I fell in love with the possibilities of the thread and the needle and started to create more elaborated designs, mixing with acrylic or watercolor painting, beading, appliqués or felt patches from time to time.
Currently I do commission works and teach workshops around my community

This is a very special celebration where the @consulmex_elpaso does the official “Grito de Independencia” and the band and color guard from @somosuacj play the Mexican National Anthem.
It’s a very special fiesta to celebrate nuestras raíces Mexicanas 🇲🇽!
Each year, this celebration honors one state of Mexico, and this year it’ll be: Chihuahua!!!🙌❤️🙌

We love having inter generational conversations with each other.
And there’s also something so magical when women gather to create with their own hands.
The calmness, the energy, the power, the general sense of community, all of it is really something I cannot describe but just feel.
I want to thank you all for coming to my ‘Flores Mexicanas’ Embroidery sessions on Wednesday afternoons.
I’m so happy and it fills my heart with pure alegría when I get to pass my love for Mexican Embroidery to each of you. Is how I resist and subsist!💪🏽❤️💪🏽
I’ll be taking a short break next week to get ready for @utepminerpalooza, but starting Wednesday September 10th a new round of ‘Flores Mexicanas’ classes will begin and I’ll also be hosting these sessions on Saturday mornings starting on Saturday September 13th at 10am for those of you that reached out and asked for these classes on the weekend.
‘Flores Mexicanas’ is a 3 sessions mini course where you can learn:
🪡 Tenango Embroidery, from Hidalgo Mexico (Wednesday Sep. 10 / 6pm-9pm & Saturday Sep. 13 / 10am-1pm)
🪡 Flor del Pensamiento Embroidery, from San Antonino, Oaxaca (Wednesday Sep. 17 / 6pm-9pm & Saturday Sep. 27 / 10am-1pm)
🪡 Tehuano Embroidery, from the Isthmus of Tehuantepec, Oaxaca (Wednesday Sep. 24 / 6pm-9pm & Saturday Oct.4 / 10am-1pm)
Each session is 3 hours and is $45 per person with all materials included.
Only 8 seats per session.

It is a fast paced life. I can barely keep up with it.
But… Mexico siempre en mi corazón.
I will be hosting spooky, fall and pumpkin spiced embroidery classes at the studio and other places, but, like my abuelita use to say: primero lo primero! (First things first!!).

🪡Kids & Parents special classes: Ojos de Dios, huichol (wixárika) fiber art from Nayarit.
🪡 Muñeca Lele embroidery project (2 sessions course)
🪡 Bordando mi historia con bordado purépecha (3 sessions course)
🪡 Heart embroidery class inspired on Filigrana Clay.
🪡 Milagros mini wall embroidery class.
