About Me
I started hand embroidering gifts for friends and family.
Honestly, they were pretty bad, but they help me practice and practice and eventually get better with the craft.
Throughout this exploration process, I fell in love with the possibilities of the thread and the needle and started to create more elaborated designs, mixing with acrylic or watercolor painting, beading, appliqués or felt patches from time to time.
Currently I do commission works and teach workshops around my community

NEW EMBROIDERY FOR BEGINNERS CLASS AT THE STUDIO‼️
Hola my friends!!
If you’ve been wanting to start doing embroidery this is the class for you!
Learn all the basics to start
your own embroidery practice.
Each participant will receive
ONE embroidery sampler kit that includes:
*A 10-inch diameter embroidery hoop
*Two different sized embroidery needles
*2 12x12-inch squares of cotton fabric
*2 12x12-inch squares of Mexican canvas fabric
*4 paper printed patterns to trace on fabric
*8 skeins of DMC thread (primary colors)
*One pair of embroidery scissors
*4 printed water soluble embroidery stickers
These classes will be on Saturday November 8th and November 22nd from 10am to 2pm
Price is $65 per person per session and you can choose to come to just one or to both sessions.

Today is World Mental Health Day🧠
It’s very important to understand that mental health affects our everyday lives because it determines how we think, feel and act.
It has a deep impact in our ability to relate with others, in our coping mechanisms, our resilience, our productivity and much more.
When people ask me why I embroider I always tell them: “is the therapy I can afford” and it’s true.
I grabbed the needle, thread and fabric at a very uncertain and painful time of my life, and it kept me alive.
Hand embroidery has been an outlet not only to create, but it also helps me get to a state very similar to meditation.
It helps me focus and stay present in the here and now.
My own experience with this craft has been nothing but beneficial, so if you’re craving something to help you get rid of any stressors (at least for a few hours) pick up a craft: paint, stitch, knit, crochet, draw, bake, learn to macrame or simply grab that box full of family pictures and start making scrapbooking or collages.
Crafting is not exclusive to childhood, it’s there and exists for all of us to be enjoyed anytime.
So put down the phone and create something 😉
